CoCo Pound Cake

Equipment

  • Bundt pan

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Shortening
  • 2 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 cup Buttermilk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 325°. Grease and flour bundt pan making sure all indentions are well covered.
  • Mix together butter, shortening and sugar. Gradually beat in eggs and vanilla.
  • Mix together dry ingredients. Mix into butter mixture alternating with buttermilk.
  • Pour into bundt pan leveling out batter. Bake 1 hour 15 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Cool 10 minutes then invert on plate.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar or drizzle with icing of your choice.
