1/2cupStrawberries Can use fresh or frozen (defrosted)
Instructions
Preheat over to 350°. Grease and flour cake pan.
Mix all ingredients until well blended. Pour into cake pan.
Bake about 35 minutes until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Cool before frosting.
Strawberry Frosting
Blend together 1/4 cup buter, 1/2 cup strawberries and 2 cups powdered sugar. Blend well and frost on cooled cake.

My Great grandmother Hortense Hilton (nickname Hortie) loved this cake. She came to live with us for a while and my mother would make this for her along with Lemon Custard Ice Cream. Hortense was my mom's mother's mother.
